Cosmic Pizza is a vibrant, young restaurant located in the heart of Salzburg, known for its high-quality neapolitanian style pizzas and the atmosphere.
Cosmic Pizza is the creation of Andy and Marc, two founders with very different but complementary backgrounds. Andy — known as DJ Cosmic — spent years as a DJ and vinyl collector before trading his turntables for pizza peels. He perfected his craft in Naples, the birthplace of true Neapolitan pizza. Marc brought extensive hospitality experience from Munich, Vienna, and Salzburg. After a period of traveling as “pizza nomads,” hosting pop-ups and events, they finally opened their own restaurant in April 2024.
A New Life for a Legendary Location
Cosmic Pizza moved into the former Steirische Weinstube in Salzburg’s Elisabeth-Vorstadt — a place locals remember as a late‑night cult spot where roast chicken was served until 3 a.m. The venue had a long-standing reputation as a true “Beisl” with a wonderfully mixed crowd, from laborers to jazz musicians. Cosmic Pizza revived the space with a completely new identity while honoring its lively spirit.
