Job Summary:
As the Lead Bartender, you will lead bar operations while delivering a refined and engaging guest experience. With a deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and service excellence, you'll lead by example and support a seamless, high-end beverage program.
Job Duties & Functions:
* Craft exceptional cocktails and beverages while providing warm, attentive service to all guests.
* Lead daily bar operations, including inventory management, setup/breakdown, and cleanliness.
* Lead, train, and motivate bartending staff to uphold Forbes/AAA service standards.
* Ensure accurate order entry and payment processing through the POS system.
* Maintain expert-level knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, specialty cocktails, latest mixology trends & techniques and confidently make recommendations.
* Collaborate with management and culinary teams to ensure cohesive food and beverage pairings and seasonal menu updates.
* Monitor guest satisfaction, handle feedback with professionalism, and resolve issues promptly or escalate to management.
* Consistently stay updated with the latest food and beverage trends, spirits and wine knowledge to deliver exceptional guest dining experiences.
* Enforce all safety, sanitation, and alcohol compliance policies.
* Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
* Represent the bar in leadership capacity, setting a positive example for teamwork, efficiency, and hospitality.
* Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadership.
Education & Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a luxury, high-volume, or fine-dining environment; prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and mixology trends.
* Strong understanding of Forbes Travel Guide, AAA Five Diamond, LQA or equivalent service standards.
* Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and mentoring others.
* Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications (as required).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Proficient in POS systems and bar inventory software.
* Ability to read, write and converse in English. Additional languages are a plus.
* Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
