Job DescriptionConstance Ephelia, a luxurious resort nestled in the breathtaking Seychelles, is seeking a talented and passionate Bartender to join our exceptional team. As aBartenderat our world-class establishment, you will play a crucial role in creating unforgettable experiences for our discerning guests by crafting exquisite cocktails and providing top-notch service in our bars and lounges.
•Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, to the highest standards
•Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction
•Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area at all times
•Accurately process guest orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions
•Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations
•Collaborate effectively with other bar staff, waiters, and kitchen team members
•Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
•Contribute to the creation of new cocktail recipes and seasonal drink menus
•Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills
•Implement and maintain the resort's sustainability initiatives in the bar area
•Organise and execute special events, such as cocktail masterclasses or themed nights
•Monitor and report on bar performance metrics, including sales and customer satisfaction
•Ensure compliance with local licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol guidelines
•Mentor and train junior bar staff to maintain high service standards
•Assist in resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally
Qualifications•Proven experience as a bartender in a luxury resort or high-end establishment
•Diploma in Hotel management or equivalent
•Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, beer, and spirits
•Excellent mixology skills and the ability to craft creative, visually appealing drinks
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
•Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions
•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
•Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
•Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
•Bartending certification (desirable)
•Valid food safety certification
•Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
•Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
•Willingness to work in a tropical resort environment and adapt to local conditions
•Knowledge of international drinking customs and etiquette
•Experience in upselling and promoting specialty drinks
•Familiarity with luxury spirits and premium brands
•Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
•Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
