Bodega Chafa is looking for a charismatic bartender to head the bar operations at our small mezcaleria.
We're looking for a bartender to work 40hrs a week in our 12 seat bar, serving customers classic cocktail recipes with a mezcal and tequila twist.
We're Lisbon's first mezcaleria, educating the portuguese market about agave distillates by serving mezcal and tequila based cocktails, offering tasting sessions and selling bottles on premise. You'll be part of an international team of 4, and running the bar program.
As the only full-time bartender on our team (to start with), you'll have the autonomy to run the show as you please in a relaxed working environment. We'll take you on annual trips to mexico to deepen your knowledge on agave distillates, and bring in a lot of industry experts for collaborations.
We require someone with knowledge of all classic cocktails, and versatility to slightly twist the recipes to focus on mezcal and tequila. We require someone with very good organizational skills and the ambition to grow our cocktail program. We require someone who is charismatic and can provide our clients with exceptional customer-service as you'll be getting a lot of face time with the customers at our bar counter. You'll need to take charge of all of the necessary prep work, as well as ensure the cleanliness of the bar area. Be prepared for chill days, but days where our bar can get packed. But most of all, you can expect a relaxed working environment, good working vibes and really cool customers :)
Our salary package will be dependant on the amount of experience the candidate has.
