Purpose & Scope
The Bartender will prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for members and guests in a warm, friendly and efficient manner offering the best of customer service with the goal of delivering an exceptional experience. You will support the team and contribute to the success of the bar.
Responsibilities & Key Duties
• Day to day bar operations including restocking
• Contribute ideas for menu development and the creation of new cocktails
• To be a team member and always be positive and helpful
• Welcoming customers, listening to people and reading them to determine beverage preference, answering questions, making recommendations and taking and preparing drink orders and snacks
• Need to meet physical requirements such as the ability to work long hours on your feet and lift stock
• Stay calm under pressure, be organized and efficient
• Follow correct pouring controls, drink recipes and presentation specifications
• Engage with members and guests and ensure they receive the highest level of service
• Be knowledgeable of all spirits and drinks, constantly learning about new products and the story behind them
• Ensure the bar area is always clean, stocked and organized, practicing good safety and sanitation skills
• To participate in monthly stock takes
• To understand and follow cash procedures
• To ensure a safe, hygienic and legal working environment is achieved in line with bar operating procedures and policies with particular reference to liquor licensing
• To ensure mise-en-place items are prepared and stored according to bar standards
• Performs other duties as assigned by senior colleagues
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
• Actively champions and promotes The Conduit Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy
• Supports and contributes to the overall success of The Conduit
• Alongside your key duties you may be asked to complete other tasks as and when necessary and reasonably required in line with business needs.
