About the restaurant:
Grand Met Restaurant | Enjoy an excellent dining experience with our inventive and internationally inspired menu, the Grand Met offers a casual dining atmosphere where you can unwind and savor your meal.
Responsibilities of Bartenders:
- The Bartender is responsible for taking customer's food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks and accepting payments.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer and wine is used to offer customized recommendations.
- Maintains an awareness of food and product information, merchandise promotions, special offers and advertisements.
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintains proper cash accountabilities at the POS system.
- Communicates customer requests to co-workers and/or management in a prompt, efficient manner where needed.
- Cooperates and interacts with colleagues in a positive, respectful manner and with a team approach, offering to assist as needed in order to ensure customer service. Reports to work on time and as assigned per the schedule on a regular, consistent basis.
- Maintain accurate inventory of bar product and complete all sidework as assigned by management.
- This position will at times be responsible for Bartending and Lounge Serving based on demands and scheduling needs; must be willing to work in both capacities.
Qualifications & Requirements of Bartenders:
- A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for restaurants and customer service.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- Prior bartending experience required.
- Ability to anticipate and understand guests' needs, focus attention on service details and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours in length.
- Familiarity with the latest in mixology, bar equipment and sanitation standards with a focus on maintaining an attractive and clean bar area.
- Understanding of state and local serving and bartending guidelines and be TBAC certified.
- Transports and carries moderately heavy objects, up to and including beer kegs.
- Must have flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
