Above ground, you will find a fantastical café where you can start your day with a pastry and dark-roast Java, estate Ceylon tea, or the best hot chocolate in the city. All-day breakfast egg dishes and authentic comfort food are served fast and made simply with the best ingredients.

Discover drinks and wines inspired by the Dutch Sea explorations with snacks of pickled, cured, and smoked fish and seafood. Accessed by a spiral staircase from the street level, the deep vault is an underground bar (evenings only) unlike anything else in the world. It contains a treasure trove of wines, rums, and golden cheeses stored in high-security strong rooms.

Ultramarijn 'below-ground' is 92m2 and seats 60 people which can be rented out for private use. This area includes a cocktail bar and a private lounge room behind a stunning old-vault door.

With 2 boardrooms, a versatile work play area, and our Ultramarijn below ground private bar you will find various locations to meet, gather, or celebrate.

As a Bartender you are responsible for serving guests in our three amazing bars within the F&B outlets of voco® The Hague! With two fully equipped bars in Ultramarijn Wonderbar, and one bar in Botanica, you can finally fulfil your greatest dreams of having access to the best ingredients, nicest liquors, and high-quality coffee to create the tastiest drinks of The Hague. You are always aiming to be ahead of what the guest is looking for in terms of delivering them great service and advice on what to pick on the menu. From super exotic options in cocktails, to a home-made lemonade, we offer it all, it's up to you to sell what suits the mood.

You are responsible for

* Creating a warm and welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest's experience.
* Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions to guests.
* Work with your restaurant colleagues to offer a seamless food service.
* Setting-up your bar - stock up on all the supplies you'll need manage your inventory, and make sure all your equipment is functioning properly.
* Servicing guests in one of the bars of the hotel according to the standard operating procedures that are in place.
* Making sure to work in a clean environment and well-equipped bar to deliver the best service possible.
* Working closely with the baristas and other bartenders to create a menu that implements current trends and local products.
* Collaborating with your colleagues in the other departments to ensure guests always get what they are looking for before they even know it.
* Expanding knowledge of local suppliers that meet the Ultramarijn concept as well as keeping up-to date on well-known international drinks.
* Being familiar with food & drink pairing. Collaborating with the rest of the team on great combinations that add to a great experience at voco® The Hague.
* Taking care of appropriate allocation of sales, including card payments, cash payments and room charges and closing the cashier.
* Being enthusiastic and approachable for our guests.
* Living Ultramarijn, Botanica and the voco™ brand with pride, passion & energy. Creating & inspiring others to deliver memorable branded guest experiences.
* Developing awareness and reputation of voco® The Hague, Ultramarijn & Botanica in the local community.
* Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.
* Ad-hoc duties as required - unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.
* Passion for hospitality
* Experience in a F&B operation, could be a restaurant or a hotel.
* An amazing sense of creativity.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Pro-active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.
* A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence in order to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™ service standards to our voco™ hosts.
* Excellent communication skills in English. Another language is always a plus
