WHAT WILL I ACTUALLY BE DOING?
Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you will be the assistant of the bartender, helping him/her with all tasks. You’ll make sure the bar is always fully stocked and all glassware ready for use.
It’s a physical role and you will be on your feet most of the time, days and nights, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. There are a lot of people around in the hotel, so you will need to be able to communicate well with everyone. We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential. Intermediate level English is a requirement.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE?
Working and training as a barback is a great way to get intimate knowledge of what goes on behind the bar and on the floor. As such, it is a path to a career behind the bar or on the floor.
HOW DO I WOW MY GUESTS?
You are responsible for giving our hotel the ‘wow’ factor to our guests when they are drinking with us. You’ll create that welcoming atmosphere and make sure everything is just right and exceeds our guests’ expectations, making sure you add your personal touch to it.
