Hi There! My name is Sid, I have a great interest in mixology and I am looking for somewhere where I can develop myself into a capable & professional mixologist. Ideally a German or English speaking country as I am fluent in both!
I have 6 months experience working in a Wetherspoons pub in Burgess Hill, England where I first learnt how pull pints, create some cocktails and most importantly, give a warm smile when I serve. During my time here, I have learned the importance of keeping a clean bar while working, how to hygienically open and close a bar, and how to keep all kinds of customers from all kinds of backgrounds happy with the service provided. In my opinion, the trick is to always put yourself in other peoples shoes, and keep a calm, level head at all times. After these six months, I enrolled in & completed the EBS international course in the beautiful Greek island of Kos. My main motivation for the course was to develop my knowledge of beer, wine & spirits and learn the recipes of and how to make cocktails of higher intricacy and complexity than the ones I was making in the pub, which I feel is something I more than accomplished during my time on the course. I now know tequila is not infact made from cactus (agave) and most vodkas are not actually made from potatoes! In all seriousness, I now feel I have the knowledge to discuss the alcohol/cocktails in detail with customers, whilst having the ability to make the cocktails with great speed and accuracy (also with some flair moves & with free pour if this is something your establishment promotes).
