During my four-week bartending course at the European Bartender School in Cape Town, I had the opportunity to acquire precise skills in cocktail preparation and service. In addition to mastering the precise measurements and preparation methods for 66 cocktail recipes, I also delved into the history and production processes of significant alcoholic beverages. This comprehensive training not only equipped me with the knowledge of cocktail recipes but also the theoretical understanding and historical context, enabling me to provide high-quality recommendations to guests. While the recipes I've learned serve as a solid foundation, I'm eager to expand my repertoire by acquiring additional cocktail recipes and perfecting my preparation techniques. My aptitude for quick learning allows me not only to grasp new recipes in a short period but also to implement them seamlessly behind the bar. Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-organized work environment is of paramount importance to me, both during and after work. In addition to my passion for crafting various cocktails, I take pride in tasks such as sanitizing surfaces, managing inventory, handling dishware, and replenishing fresh ingredients and garnishes, all of which are integral parts of my role. Beyond the physical aspects of my job, I am committed to providing a warm and welcoming experience to our guests, always accompanied by a genuine smile. Ensuring their prompt service and satisfaction is a top priority for me. Equally important is creating a safe environment for both guests and the dedicated team I have the privilege of working alongside. My time at the EBS in Cape Town allowed me to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, an experience I found both exciting and immensely enjoyable.
