Hello, I'm Jote Teodor.
Originally from Ethiopia and Serbia, I have spent the majority of my youth travelling around the world. This eclectic upbringing has left me with a taste for discovering the unknown, learning new skills and meeting interesting people.
Although I currently have much to learn in the bartending world, I have earned some transferable skills over the years. In my time interning at a Marine Conservation Institute in Madagascar, part of the job was to manage a small bar for the volunteers. This experience showed me that I enjoy the feeling of service and the easy camaraderie of bartender and customer, while simultaneously teaching me some of the basics of the service industry. Experiences of mine outside the service and bartending industry have taught me other valuable lessons that I still carry with me today. In recent years I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science in Cape Town, during which I learned the value of hard work, patience and consistency (As well as the actual course material). In my youth, I played in a semi-professional football club in Kenya, a fantastic experience which taught me the importance of mental, physical and emotional toughness as well as teamwork and trust. I look forward to learning and improving as a bartender and I can't wait to be the best that I can be.
