

Hello, I'm Jean-Luc.
I'm a hardworking bartender with a keen love for whiskey and tequila. I got started in bartending and mixology after dropping out of university because I was miserable but I found something which I love and feel I can express myself.
I worked as a bartender for 7 months at "The Cabin" (Groningen, The Netherlands) before being promoted to Head bartender for a further 4 months. I then moved back to Ireland due to some issues with finding rental accommodation. I found a job at Dunmore House Hotel in the south of Ireland. I worked as a bartender there where we also did a lot of food service and roles that a night porter would do in a larger place. In both of these spaces I spent a lot of time face to face with people from all sorts of different of backgrounds and nationalities. to list off the skills I learnt from both places specifically; - creating duty rosters for fellow staff - stock taking and ordering - food and drink orders - learnt to make coffee using a barista style machine. - training new staff - handled cash and credit card transactions and maintained an accurate record of sales.
