Irish bartender who unforgivably doesn't like Guinness. Want to learn new languages and see more of the world, all the while meeting interesting new people. Efficient, friendly and always punctual, and have learned not to get too stressed.
Before the EBS course, I worked in a busy Irish pub in Cork City in Ireland. I loved the atmosphere and how the role always kept me on my feet. I also loved the challenges, as they meant every night was different to the previous. Bartending here improved my ability to relate to the customers and to work as pert of a team, as well as my ability to work under pressure. More recently, I worked as a bartender in a popular village in my home village in Ireland. Here I further improved my skills, having to make many drinks at the same time. But I have also worked in different roles with transferable skills, such as a cook in a fast food restaurant, where I learned how to work quickly, a counselor in a Canadian camp for disadvantaged children, where I learned how to deal with many stressful situations, and as a housekeeper in a student accommodation, where I learned to clean effectively. I have also recently completed my university course in microbiology, where the lab taught me how to work under tight time constraints. As a result of these experiences, I believe I can bring a well - rounded and versatile approach to the bar.
