Sociable, hard-working bartender with a love for serving beautiful cocktails!

I am a motivated and enthusiastic student looking to apply for jobs in bartending during my gap year and time at university. I completed EBS Barcelona this month, where I achieved 93% in my bar exam and discovered how much I love making cocktails and working behind the bar. I am a very fast learner and have over three years of experience working in a team and with the general public, most recently as a GP receptionist and as a volunteer at an old person's home. In these jobs, my favourite part is talking to and meeting new patients and their relatives. This helped me realise why I want to work in hospitality, as I love cheering people up and getting to know new faces! Working full time in a GP practice, particularly during the busiest period of the pandemic, taught me how to work efficiently in a very fast paced environment. Remaining calm, focused and upbeat even when there is a line of people waiting to be served is now a skill I pride myself on having. It also helped me learn how to handle complaints and manage difficult customers politely and effectively, a skill important in any hospitality setting. I am results-driven and hard-working, shown by my academic record and commitment to past volunteering jobs. I love serving and socialising with customers, and helping create a fun environment for everyone, so I am really excited to gain experience as a bartender!
