Working in a busy pub in a holiday destination during summer 2020, really was a highlight of my career so far. This pub had many different areas including the restaurant, bar, and beach-side beer garden, so I was exposed to many parts of the hospitality industry. Working outside during peak summer months during the Covid-19 pandemic meant that I was constantly busy, monitoring every customer coming in, taking details from everyone, and operating a table service only environment meant I was never quiet. The International Bartender Course has also increased my repertoire and knowledge of all the drinks on the back bar, which will be crucial when working in a bar.
