Hello, I'm Esther-Mae.

I am applying for a full-time/ part-time position with your company. I am currently interested in supervising and management within the hospitality sector as I believe I have had much experience within this area and would like to progress



- XOYO, Shoreditch, London 2019-2020 (Currently on annual leave due to Covid-19): Due to Covid-19, unfortunately I have had to take annual leave from where I am currently employed. As we are all unsure about how the company will survive they have only announced that it is annual until further notice. In the meantime I am still looking for a full-time or part-time position as a bartender and training toward a supervisor or management position. - 333 Mother Bar // The Red Lion (Shoreditch, London 2019) I had been grateful enough to work at such a renowned venue in Shoreditch, not because of it’s reputation but for my own personal experiences during this time. Before the unfortunate happenings of 333 Mother Bar closing down, I had been referred to it’s sister venue -The Red Lion Pub, Hoxton St- for management training. Although this took place for only three weeks I believe it had opened many opportunities for me. I believe that from this point on I can only strive towards similar positions within the bar industry. I started working for this company in February 2019 with the intention to progress, as this had been a goal I had been working on since my previous job at Trapeze Bar, Shoreditch. After a few months of familiarising myself with this business, it’s drinks, prices and services I had been offered the chance to trial for management at the Red Lion. - Trapeze Bar (Shoreditch, London 2018) As this was my first cocktail bartending experience this had been very challenging for me at times but had also been a fun and great learning curve for me. I believe I still have so much to learn in terms of the art of cocktails but am willing to learn more throughout my bartending journey. My desire is to grow from a bartending position to a a supervisor role. I have had some brief experience when working at KOKO Theatre and had been trusted to run the private bar alone very frequently at Trapeze which I feel very honoured about. Although I am thoroughly enjoying my time here I feel that there are better Bar opportunities throughout London that I feel I want to take. I believe my worth and feel that I now need to be working at that level and nothing less. I would like to progress to not only prove that I am capable but to inspire and teach others behind the bar. Although I still have much to learn I would like to come out of the my comfort zone and strive for a higher role. - KOKO London (June 2016) As working at KOKO was my first time in this industry I thoroughly enjoyed the challenging experience so far. Although bar experience has taught me how to adapt in a fast paced environment, I thoroughly believe that I am willing to excel in other areas such as the supervisor role as I have had experience with this business within this specific role. Supervising new staff, making sure they know the fundamentals of the bar and also being responsible to counting stock and making sure the bar is safe to use for all staff members and barbacks. In general, working the bustling nightlife has taught me many skills that I would like to develop & explore, such as working in different bars, nightclubs in different countries, quick decision making and supervising or managing in a team. Being confident when communicating with other colleagues and also towards many different crowds/customers.
