I've started my bartending journey in the UK, my first job behind a bar was as a bar staff in September 2019. I decided to start my EBS course in March 2020. But then... Corona Virus came around and BAM ! My course had to be put to an end before week 3. I mostly spent my lockdown training flair, memorising classic cocktails and creating my own drinks. In August I finally could finish my EBS course in Paris. Once my course was done, I moved to Abidjan, Ivory Coast to be part of a brand-new project ; Dycoco Comedy Club. Dycoco is a comedy club with 2 bars (beer & cocktail bar) and occasionally had parties. I started other there as the head bartender, after 3 months I was promoted as the bar manager. A year later, I started my hotel experience at the Moxy Hotel from Marriott group in Switzerland. As crew member, I multitasked between bartending, doing bar snacks as well as breakfast shifts and I also learned about the reception by checking in hotel guests. I also had the opportunity to challenge myself within the Waldorf Astoria - The Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh as F&B supervisor within the Hilton group. This experience allowed me to step up my standards to the closest possible to perfection as the 5* standards set up by Forbes. Currently, working as Assistant General Manager in the Devil’s Advocate, Bar & Kitchen. I am currently learning the ins and out of managing a bar and restaurant as well as learning about the higher picture of our Head Office while still maintaining scheduling and training team members. These experience developed a high standards concerning having the right attitude at work. I have a strict policy of no drinking and no drugs in the work place. Having to work and train the staff from a different culture than mine was an extraordinary experience that developed my tolerance concerning everyone beliefs and personalities. I love seeing an evolution in people. I have a strong passion for training young waiters/bartenders to developed their own skills.
