Hello, I'm Ben.
I am an outgoing and enthusiastic bartender from Scotland with a passion for travelling and experiencing new things, I am friendly, hard working, good fun and always wanting to learn more.
I have been working in hospitality since I turned 16, starting of as a waiter for 2 years, helping behind the bar where I could. I then became a bartender at the age of 18 pouring long drinks and beers/ciders and I became very interested in cocktails and experimenting with different spirits, liqueurs, bitters and garnishes, and creating my own infusions and syrups. I began loving flair bartending and doing it behind the bar I use to work in. In April 2019 I completed the EBS 4 week course where I learnt so much more about bartending. After completing the course I got a job as a bartender at the Lawrence apartments (the EBS school in Kos) where my job consists of not just making cocktails and drinks, but socialising with the customers both on and off shift, making and organising events for customers, making sure everyone enjoy’s there time. After I finished my job here I moved back to Scotland, here I got a job in a creative, fast paced cocktail bar where we would have weekly cocktail specials and where I would be asked to put on flair shows for customers who were sitting at the tables around the bar. Over the winter of 2019-2020 I moved to France where I worked in a craft beer orientated bar. Whilst working here I learnt about many different brands and types of beers, I also deepened my knowledge of the brewing processes and background history’s of different variations of beers.
