Hello! I am Marlène Mwehu, a 33–year-old civil engineer from Genoa, my hometown in Italy. I am an Italian and French native speaker. I studied English for many years and also had the chance to practise it on several occasions. in 2019, I picked up Spanish, thanks to one of the most important decisions I made in my life. After my qualification, I practised as an engineer at a firm in my city for several years. This way, I developed my skills in the field and got familiar with a lively and demanding work environment. But I gradually grew, over the time, a need for a change and a new challenge that would fulfill myself completely. While recalling the nice memory of the course in food and beverage management I attended after graduating, my new intention became stronger and one day I made my mind up to pursue my natural job career. And so did I, I landed in Mallorca, went on a Spanish course and then a professional one held in English by the European bartender school. During this course, I had the chance to get to know the main bartending techniques, the history of liquors, their production process and how to mix them into more than 70 different cocktails, besides exercising my practical skills as a bartender of course. I immediately felt more confident of my long-lasting passion and flair for a job in the hospitality and restauration industry. Spending some months as a commis waitress/waitress and work behind the bar made me more mindful of details, quality research, customer care and professional ethics.
