I’m a committed, professional and hard working industrial engineer who has a passion of working behind a bar. I have completed two contracts working with Carnival Cruise Lines in the Bar department, along with 3 years experience on land.
I have completed two contracts working with Carnival Cruise Lines in the Bar Department. I worked on 3 different cruise ships sailing from the USA to different ports in the Caribbean and Mexico. Whilst on board I would work very hard - 7 days a week from 9 to 15 hours per day on an 8 month contract. I worked in many different bars on board the cruise ship from pool, pubs, casino, comedy clubs, show lounges and large dining room bars. The one bar I spent most of my contract on was called The Alchemy Bar and known as a “cocktail pharmacy”. To work here we had to have special mixology training. From classic cocktails to providing a personal experience for my customers and creating their very own cocktail in front of their eyes, made by me. Using fresh juices, spices, herbs and infused spirits, without the use of blenders or sodas. In Colombia I have had more than three years experience working in pubs. I started off as a Bar Waiter and through my own hard work and determination I progressed into Bar Management. This year after traveling through Europe and settling in Ibiza, I decided to achieve one of my biggest goals. I went to Barcelona for 4 weeks to study at The Worlds Leading - European Bartender School. This was one of the biggest learning experiences in my bartending life so far. My knowledge grew and my skills and techniques improved. What I enjoyed the most was learning from top instructors and working with bartenders from all over the world. This definitely confirmed my ultimate passion which is bar. My goal is to continue to grow and learn more in this industry with the experience behind different bars. I work smart instead of hard, making sure I provide a fast service yet to a high standard. Overall I am a caring individual with a positive and friendly attitude that works well within any team.
