Hello, I’m Scarlett, a 19-year-old from the UK with over five years of experience in hospitality and events. I have always had a strong work ethic and a desire to be independent, starting my first job at a young age working at weddings. Since then, I have gained experience across cafés, bars, restaurants, events and kitchens, which has given me a broad understanding of hospitality and taught me how to adapt to different environments and responsibilities. Working in hospitality has helped me develop strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills, as well as confidence when interacting with different types of people. I enjoy working in fast paced environments where every day is different, and I have learned how to stay calm under pressure, think on my feet and maintain a positive attitude while providing good customer service. I am friendly, hardworking and always willing to learn or take on a new challenge. Food and drink have always been a big passion of mine. I have experience preparing food in a café environment and have always enjoyed cooking for myself and others. I also enjoy making cocktails and experimenting with different recipes, which led to my interest in bartending and mixology. I recently completed my bartending qualification at the European Bartender School in Kos, Greece. This was a particularly valuable experience for me as it pushed me outside my comfort zone, allowed me to develop my bartending skills and introduced me to people from all over the world. It also confirmed how much I enjoy working in international, social environments. I have also gained international hospitality experience through volunteering at a busy hostel bar in Istanbul, Turkey. Working with international travellers gave me the opportunity to build my confidence behind the bar, interact with people from a wide range of cultures and adapt to a completely different working environment. I really enjoyed the social side of the role and the energy that comes with working in a hostel environment. Outside of hospitality, I have a strong interest in travel, photography and art. I studied Photography and Art at GCSE and Art at A Level, which has developed my creativity and my eye for visual details. I enjoy exploring new places, meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about different cultures and ways of life. I hope to continue travelling and working abroad, combining my passion for hospitality with my love of meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I am particularly drawn to international environments where I can learn from others, build new skills and contribute to a positive and energetic team. I am excited about opportunities that allow me to grow both personally and professionally. My experience has taught me to be adaptable, confident and resilient, and I am always open to learning something new. Ultimately, I want to continue building a career in hospitality while creating memorable experiences for the people around me and making the most of every opportunity to travel, learn and grow.
