I'm currently studying Engineering at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, and I'm looking to get stuck into bartending alongside my studies. Working as a crew member in a busy food service environment for over a year taught me how to stay calm and think on my feet during a rush, with orders stacking up, people waiting, and still keeping things moving without dropping the ball on accuracy or friendliness. That's the energy I want to bring behind the bar. Music is a big part of my life outside of work. I play drums and guitar across a few different bands, including regular performances at venues around Brisbane. Being part of a band means learning to read a room, work closely with other people, and adjust on the fly when a set doesn't go to plan, which I think translates well to bartending on a busy night. I also led the drumline in my high school marching band, so I'm used to keeping a group coordinated and staying steady under pressure. I'm looking forward to learning the craft side of bartending properly, the drinks, the pace, the customer interactions, and I like that no two shifts are ever quite the same.
