Hello, I'm Matt Leslie.
South African with a love for the industry and very dedicated to anything I put my mind to. Take all opportunities with both hands and will not let you down. I am a very fast learner and a good listener, very teachable and adaptable.
I graduated from EBS Cape Town and jumped straight into one of Cape Towns best cocktail bars called "The Drinkery" where I learnt how to make all the classics very well and consistent to then learning not only how to mix new flavours together but also how to make them from scratch as well. At The Drinkery we would make all our cordials, oleos and syrups we use for the cocktails on the menu or off the menu. I learnt how to make a drink just based off a small preference list or just based off how the guest is feeling on a particular night. I love interacting with the people who come in the bar and learning about them or hearing about their day or anything in general, I love working with a bar team who love doing the same things and get along as friends not just as coworkers. The team makes the bar at most places and I feel like I can add to any team I join and make it a better environment overall with and without the taste of my cocktails.
