Hello, I'm Max.
I am easy going, happy and love to spend time creating fun! While my young roots are in South African beers and brandy, my UK blood and passport gave me a taste for whisky and classy cocktails! I want to learn more by doing!!
My age has dramatically hampered my experiences:) I have had the privilege of living and traveling in a family of extroverts, giving me the ability to enjoy the company of all ages and backgrounds. Coupled to 5 years in an all boys boarding school I have learned patience, respect, teamwork and the ability to stand up for myself and others! As a result of my love of art; I chose it as a school subject. The subject required creativity, time management, dedication, clear processing and planning. Art taught and gave me the most! I believe my passion for creativity and the ability to express myself gives me a distinct advantage when it comes to standing out. For holiday work I did part-time serving and bartending for Kitch&Co (a private catering company in South Africa), from garden parties to large corporate and sporting functions the experience was a lesson in carrying, setting up, cleaning and generating a great time! I loved the pressure and interactions! With limited experience I decided to get a qualification from the European Bartending School in Cape Town - I loved it. We got to experience the theory and practical side of tending bar; with most nights in real world experiences. I found my strengths are free pouring, speed, creativity and a genuine interest in my colleagues and customers! I want and need to learn more!
