As work experience in this field, I had the opportunity to work in a cocktail bar in the resort of Monterosso in the 5 Terre for a long time. This is where my journey began where I was able to realize how satisfied it can make me feel to see a customer happy after preparing even a simple drink for them. My duties were as follows: 1. Beverage preparation and cafeteria: preparation of cocktails, long drinks, frozen, shots, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at customers' request, following standard recipes or creating new combinations. 2. Bar management: responsible for cleaning and organizing the bar, keeping the tools, glasses and equipment in order. In addition, I was responsible for stocking the bar with necessary ingredients and supplies. 3. Customer service: interactions with customers, taking orders, recommending drinks, and making sure customers were satisfied with the service. 4. Inventory management: monitoring the inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with stock control of liquor, mixers, fruit, and ice. 5. Accounting and payment management: responsible for managing payments, which may include cash or electronic payments. 6. Knowledge of regulations and safety: knowledge of laws related to alcohol consumption, including age limits and local regulations on serving alcoholic beverages. Able to recognize signs of excessive alcohol consumption by customers and handle the situation responsibly. 7. Work environment management: make sure the bar environment is safe and pleasant for all customers, while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. I also had the opportunity to start working with the mass of people right away being a very touristy location, so I can feel confident and comfortable during these situations.
