Atisa

Hello, I'm Atisa.

Outgoing and easygoing Canadian who thrives on connecting with people. I'm passionate about creating memorable experiences, whether it's over a crisp, cold beer or a smooth shot of tequila – both are my go-to!

With a strong background in leadership, community engagement, and advocacy, I bring a diverse set of skills to any position I take on. My commitment to service and personal growth shines through in my experiences as a **Model Senate participant** with the Senate of Canada and the **House of Commons**, where I gained proficiency in government procedures and honed my public speaking and research abilities. Similarly, my role as **President of Climate Change Action** allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues and sustainability practices while fostering community awareness. Through my involvement in **Young Women on the Move**, I strengthened my leadership and communication skills while advocating for menstrual equity and empowering young women through education. In this role, I actively contributed to breaking stigmas around sexual violence and gender inequalities by organizing impactful assemblies and initiatives. Additionally, my **peer leadership** role at Harbord Collegiate allowed me to mentor others while facilitating important discussions on mental health and racism, creating safe spaces for students. I also demonstrated strong organizational skills while handling **administrative work** at Jafari Law, where I was trusted to assist with legal documentation and support the team’s operations. Beyond my academic and extracurricular activities, I’m an avid athlete, participating in **rowing**, **volleyball**, and **running clubs**, where I’ve developed resilience, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. My leadership has been recognized with several awards, including an **Ontario Scholar Merit Award** and a **Harbord Club Hilkka Filppula Award for Excellence in Athletics and Academics**. With certifications in **First Aid**, **CPR**, **Smart Serve Ontario**, and **Bronze Medallion**, I am prepared to take on new challenges with professionalism and dedication. I am eager to continue learning, collaborating, and growing as I pursue new opportunities in both professional and community settings.
