Job Description

- Bring your passion for fine food, culinary and bar service excellence to - Cuvee, Sofitel Brisbane Central’s chic and sophisticated lobby bar.
- As a Full Time Assistant Bar Manager, you will lead your team to create unforgettable dining and social experiences for our guests in the stunning and lively surrounds of Cuvee.

What you'll be doing:
- Report to the Food and Beverage Management on daily operations
- Lead, mentor and train the Cuvee operations team members
- Assist to manage and delegate duties ensuring Sofitel brand standards are maintained
- Liaise with the kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and presentation
- Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to plan new product and service offerings
- Promote a strong Heartist culture and a team focused on creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Qualifications

You'll excel in this role if you have:
- Service focused personality and a passion for everything food and beverage
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role
- Availability to work weekends and late night shifts to close the bar
- Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification
- Completion of Barista training and Wine & Spirit (WSET) training is preferable
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
- Strong networking skills with proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Experience in building a strong team culture
- A record of high performance and achievement.
