Job Purpose
To support the seamless running of the Mercroft Taverns Ltd. Bar by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and guest comfort and safety is paramount at all times. Excellent product knowledge so as to confidently recommend and upsell the various products on offer
Key Objectives
To have a high standard of food and beverage knowledge.
To ensure that clear and correct orders are being taken
To ensure that any opportunity for upselling is taken
To inform managers of any complaints / comments / perceived issues
To show due care when handling customer payments
To fully adhere to the specific standards of service.
Strong spirits cocktail wines knowledge
Objectives & goals
To ensure all guests receive a positive and professional service at the bar
Have a comprehensive knowledge of food and drink lists
Maximize revenue opportunities through exceptional service
Consistently exceed guest expectations
Develop a positive, direct and open relationship with all colleagues
Protect the health, safety and well being of our guests and colleagues
To actively participate in the training of the Head barback and bar backs
