Internship Description
A trendy bar in Mumbai, the Boston Butt, and an International wine trading company, PACT
Winery, are looking for a qualified public relation and sales intern to promote PACT Wines
within the Mumbai located Boston Butt bar.
The intern who fills this position should be interested in learning all aspects of the public
relations field and is expected to learn the field from top to bottom with an emphasize on social
media and event organization. The intern will also assist in various stages of the sales funnel,
including creating awareness of new offerings, generating leads, and retaining customers.
The ideal intern will be a great fit for our energetic and creative team. You’ll gain hands-on
experience working on challenging, meaningful projects with guidance from a mentor and other
members of our team.
It's essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate
creativity, and have very strong adaptative skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales:
• Research and generate lists of potential customers
• Provide input on customer briefs, presentations, and sales literature
• Help develop client relationships and retain existing accounts
• Assist in evaluating new sponsorship opportunities
• Learn and apply sales techniques
• Maintain sales records
Public relation:
• Monitor Mumbai’s bar industry social media
• Network with the Mumbai expat community through social media
• Organize Mumbai expat’s events within the Boston Butt
• Write social media releases and other materials
• Assist with mailings
• Compile contact lists
• Create or update databases
• Greet guests and clients
Requirements
• Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business major
• Highly independent and very adaptative character
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of social media
• Writing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
