Bubbly, determined bartender from England with a thirst for knowledge and a want for new experiences and new opportunities
I have had 6 years of experience within the hospitality sector. From kitchen porter, all the way up to front of house manager, I’ve done the lot. Along the way, I have always had a burning passion for being at the top of the game in hospitality, and strive towards perfection everywhere I go. I have learnt basic skills such as taking orders, taking payment, general cleanliness, basic product knowledge, to name but a few. I have broadened my horizons with different cuisines, working in a gastro pub, a steak and lobster restaurant, and two Asian social dining restaurant as well. This has allowed me to really experience different cultures of cooking, as well as exploring different drink pairings the restaurants may offer. As well as this, working at wagamamas has shown me a different insight into the restaurant business, primarily I have learned l how chains work and what is important in a chain for it to be successful. Continuity in high standards of hygiene and responsibility are imperative to the Wagamama brand, so I have learnt the skills necessary and I excel at maintaining brand standards within my job role. As well as this I now have vast experience in the bartending industry. I have learnt various cocktail recipes which I can now recite confidently, I am efficient enough to work on bars solo on busy shifts, upsell and recommend various drinks to guests, and am always looking to learn more and mold myself into something amazing. I am currently enrolled on the international bartender course (European bartender school) which has giving me a lot more skills and ability to work on my pouring, flair, and overall bar work. As well as developing my knowledge and confidence within cocktail recipes and various alcohol categories.
