From working as a bar associate in Wetherspoons, I learned a lot about customer service and handling stressful situation professionally. With so many different people coming in everyday, keeping every one of them satified and feeling welcomed was a day to day challenge. Even so, I found the fast pace of work fun and exciting, and with having so many different customers, I learned how to hold conversation, keep customers engaged, and how to move from one customer to the other without having to dismiss the customer. With that being said, I enjoyed just as much, if not more, the quieter, calmer moments of my time at Wetherspoons. Times where I was able to have longer, more complex conversations, where I get to hear their stories, experiences and interests. Even still, with a quieter environment, I make sure to have all my cleaning, restocking and other tasks done before having full conversations with customers, or simply continue my work whilst conversing with the customers. From this job, I believe I have an outstanding work ethic, drive, and want to work hard and to the best of my ability. Being able to see what needs doing without prompt and to be able to understand the priorities of what needs doing first no matter the level of demand.
