My name is Michael. I am a 20 year old from Ireland. I’m hardworking and passionate about bartending, currently living in Paris. I want to expand my knowledge and excel in the drinks industry.
I’ve been a bartender for a little over a year. I started my career in Henry Loughrans in Navan, Meath, my hometown. The first thing that I noticed was the confidence that bartending gave me, not just in work but also in my life in general. I also found I really enjoyed bartending itself especially improving the bar, helping customers and challenging myself to sell more of the products that were usually quite hard to sell. I began to learn about the creation of cocktails and how to become a bartender of a higher standard. I was soon promoted to senior staff and given many responsibilities including counting the tills at the end of each night, locking up the bar and resolving any customer or staff issues.
