Out-going, humorous, and extremely focused, I take particular interest in the creative world of bartending, from enthralling cocktails to the stories that come with. (I also have a penchant for Bloody Marys and Spicy Cocktails)

Working behind the bar at the Black Horse was a fantastic first learning experience in the various areas of hospitality. As a sports pub, every Sunday became an intense test of my skills. I had to learn to remain calm under pressure, work quickly and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and organisation. We were occasionally understaffed due to much of the staff being students, leading me to often juggle various responsibilities that we may not have expected. Balancing multiple tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction, and keeping a watchful eye on the game became second nature to me. I gained valuable skills in tension de-escalation, and learned how to deal with conflict in a way where everyone was content. It was an intense environment that taught me to adapt, communicate effectively, and keep calm, making me a valuable asset in any dynamic work setting. I truly enjoy my time working behind the bar, especially the social aspect. I will always love talking to customers and listening to stories, as well as forming connections with regulars. I'm glad to have been able to help some customers with painfully-learned life advice, and to entertain with stories of my own. Working as a producer for theatrical productions taught me various transferrable skills such as working as part of a team and having numerous responsibilities placed upon me. I was in a higher position, so I had many people depend on me and trust me to do my tasks. Throughout my years I have also interacted with drastically different types of people, and learned how to create a pleasant environment for the community to come and enjoy themselves at.
