Hello, I'm Raffael.
I'm a Citizens of the world ;) I love traveling and if I can combinate that with bartending it's even better. I'm originally from Austria but I lived the last year in central america.
I recently finished my 10-month Austrian Service Abroad at the tropical field station La Gamba and Casa ASOL Estudiantil in Guatemala City. The field station La Gamba is a research station of the University of Vienna - on the edge of the Austrian rainforest in Costa Rica. As a volunteer abroad, I work on various projects. The work ranges from the reforestation project "COBIGA" to the organisational management and coordination of different areas (supervision of the "volunteers", management of social media, etc.) and administrative activities. In the last five years, I attended a vocational high school for tourism and hospitality "Tourismusschule Modul" in Vienna, where I was not only able to work on various projects in the daily teaching routine, but was also able to gain valuable experience in different areas during my three compulsory summer internships. Among other things, I worked as an intern at the Hotel Ritz-Carlton Vienna and the Restaurant Ikarus, Hangar 7 in Salzburg. In the summer of 2019, I was allowed to complete my last summer internship as Chef de Rang on the best cruise ship in the world, the MV Europa 2. The following year, I found myself on the high seas again, this time preferring the position of a bartender. During my time in Costa Rica and Guatemala, I managed to raise my Spanish language skills to the next level on the one hand, and the other, to gain new experiences in areas that were previously unknown to me. Currently I'm working on the Hansetic Inspiration as a bartender somewhere in the region of Antarctica.
