I have been interested in liqueurs and cocktails for some years now. What I find most interesting is how different the taste can be of the ingredients one can use, how brands of the same drink can differ so much and yet how all these flavours can be harmonized together to create a cocktail. I also combine this interest with a more systematic approach to bartendering that lets me understand, through studying and experimenting, the roots of cocktails, and from there how to change them and create something new. My first experience as a bartender has been in Seoul, thanks to a friend that let me try when there were little customers, and I loved it - it was the right work for me. I was in Korea to teach English, where I learned how to make people feel welcome and at ease, which in my opinion is a key element in being a bartender. I always related being a bartender to conveying a message to someone else and making them appreciate something new. That's why I took the 30 days EBS Course, where I learned and improved my technical prowess in devising, preparing and presenting cocktails, passing in the end with an A grade. I also took a 2 days mixology course, as an extension, to become even better in what I most love: creating new flavours and new experiences. Since then I've been exploring new kind of cocktails, also crafting particular ingredients to create original drinks.I have been a bartender for the first time in Seoul; a friend made me try when there were little customers, and I loved it - it was the right work for me.
