I'm a fresh slate when it comes to bartending, my first experience with it was completing the 4-week International bartender training in Oslo with Patrik Eriksson as our classes instructor. He gave me the insight into what it means to be a good bartender, by engaging guests and being attentive to those who enter an establishment. The Passion he sparked within me to ensure high levels of service was incredible. I love all the small niche bits of information the course touched on. While in Oslo i had the opportunity to be part of the team during a bachelor party event which introduced me into the hospitality world and allowed me to realise how it's as simple as making friendly/joking conversation depending on the guests character in order to entertain and aide in making guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Another thing i take away from it all is providing professional service and a smile is of paramount importance when serving patrons. Since returning from oslo i have worked in Telford for just under 2 months and in Northwich for a couple of weeks. both allowed me to gain operational understanding of how a bar should flow, feel and look. gained expertise from experienced team members at both establishments and am making headway on flair work while in work.
