European Bartender School, Spain International bartending course (1 month) Completed an intensive one month international course in bartending with the world’s leading bartending school. Through my efforts and dedication, I was recognised with the school’s most prestigious “Hard work, spirit and soul” award. I have graduated top of my class with an overall grade of 92%. Through the process I was also able to obtain a yellow tin ranking in flair bartending with the World Flair Association (WFA). Throughout the course, I have specialised in 4 distinct areas of bartending – cocktail recipes and speed mixing; flair bartending; general knowledge of alcohol and spirits; efficient and accurate bar work and customer service. Project highlights and skills learned: • Efficient handling of perishable and non-perishable products behind the bar • Outstanding customer service behind the bar • Health and safety when handling fruits and perishables • Health and safety on bar premises • Pouring accuracy using jiggers and free pouring • Maintain a clean working area continuously through the entire service Darwin’s Deli, London, UK (7 months) Sales Developer As a sales developer I was working on expanding a niche catering franchise, based on a business model of daily food delivery to repeat customers. I was responsible for the business operations in my region, which included all marketing and direct sales, prospecting for new clients and developing relationships with our existing customer base. I was also responsible for managing stock levels and food waste, which I have always been able to keep to a minimum, in order to maximise profits. In addition, I was responsible for training new employees for our branch. Project highlights and skills learned: • Gained more experience in personal sales and developing customer relationships when interacting daily with clients. • Doubled sales in only 3 weeks and tripled our initial sales in only 11 weeks. • Learned to thrive in a dynamic constantly changing environment and pay high attention to details. Iberostar Tiara Beach Hotel ****, Bulgaria (9 months) My duties as a senior entertainer involved the implementation and coordination of a daily sport and social entertainment programme for our hotel guests. In this role, I was organising group events and activities for our visitors, ensuring that everyone had an enjoyable and unforgettable time at our venue. As I was the main point of contact between our guests, and senior management, I had to present and quickly act on customer feedback and suggestions to improve our daily service. The role also involved daily stage acts and performances in our in our evening show programmes. Project highlights and skills learned: • Refined my communication and team-working skills when I was working with a dynamic team of nine people. • Acquired the ability to quickly act on customer feedback, when I was working with clients and striving to improve our service. • Cultivated superior organization and time management abilities when I was arranging daily sport programs for our guests.
