Cafe Royal has been a major influence in my bartending career with a very on-the-go learning experience. The expansive cocktail menu was a prominent step in my education as i had to make restaurant worthy drinks with little to no previous experience, this taught me how to learn fast and maintain a calm exterior in times of stress. Cafe royal also taught me how to work independently, serving by myself most days, i was solely in charge of the customers satisfaction and care. It allowed me to take control of most situations and learn from real-life scenarios within the workplace. Graduating from John Curtin College of the Arts was also an experience that really sculpted my attitude in the workplace. Studying musical theatre gave me the confidence to excel in customer service, providing entertainment and fun, easy conversation to guests that makes them want to return. At Cafe Royal, I know almost all of my customers by name, and they come back every time.
